Farabi was born in the city of Farab in Turkistan in the year 870. He traveled to significant centers of learning of his time, such as Buhara, Baghdad, Damascus, Cairo, Harran, and Aleppo. He wrote works in the fields of philosophy, mathematics, logic, political science, and music. In the field of philosophy, he gained such great fame in the Islamic world that he was referred to as "Muallim-i Evvel" (The First Teacher) and was compared to Aristotle. He is also known as "Muallim-i Sani" (The Second Teacher). In the Western world, he is recognized as "Alpharabius."

This program aims to facilitate student and academic staff exchanges between higher education institutions.
